Description
Visual artist Ruta Butkute works in various forms such as sculpture, installations, performance and video. In her work she experiments with the experience of materiality and, for example, questions how materials can present themselves as a sculpture, while they are not. She does this research by, among other things, translating sculptural ideas into various disciplines, such as video and performance.
The ambition with this publication is to convert the various disciplines and approaches in which Butkute works into one publication. This publication is a reflection of this diversity of working methods, the way in which all these projects are connected and developed together. The images in the book are from completed projects between 2014 and 2017/2018. The book is made in a small numbered edition, hand-bound and realized by using different formats.
